Next August Astashovo Summer fest will take place for the 5th time. In the old days each parish or village had their special day in summer or early autumn to celebrate warmth and harvest with guests from near and far. Even now in deserted villages one can see people gathering on such days where their parents and great parents once lived.
In Astashovo the festival took place on Prophet Elijah’s day early in August, so we decided to have it on the first Saturday of the month. A few hundred people come to our fete for music, dance, great food and activities. Each year there is something new. The plans for the next festival will be announced soon, meanwhile please save the day and let us know you are interested
